Check up your bias, Episode 4 – Bias with roles

The fourth episode of Check up your bias has arrived. The topic of this new episode is about roles in the workplace.

Close your eyes and imagine a person leading a team: who do you expect this person to be?

CURIOSITY

Research has shown that companies in which the management positions are filled by more than 30% by women have better performances than those with only men.

TIPS

• Ask yourself if you accept in a different way a request asked by a woman.
• If you are one of those women who don’t want to be the boss, ask yourself why.
• Make a list of the qualities that a good leader should have: we bet that they can be found both in women and men.

REFLECTION

Close your eyes and imagine a person leading a team: are they a man? Have you ever found it weird that a woman could be the head of a space mission or a board of administration?
